It’s interesting that someone can look at the situation today and conclude that today’s deficit is due to the Bush tax cuts. Does Mr. Hill have any evidence that tax revenues are down from a high point before the cuts? Any one who is willing to look at the financial situation of the progressive governments both here and in Europe, without liberal prejudices, must conclude that we are in a crisis of spending, not of taxes that are too low. There is nothing wrong with people who earn money being consumers. They drive a health economy. It is the redistributive tendency’s of the progressives and apparently some in our party that creates this situation.
